Christian Castañeda graduated from La Esmeralda and participated in Seminario de Fotografía Contemporánea in Centro de la Imagen in 2007. She received scholarships from Fundación / Colección Jumex and FONCA - CONACYT in 2011 and 2012, for a residency in Island. She has participated in more than thirty exhibitions in Mexico and abroad, as well as in several art fairs and festivals in Mexico, the United States, Canada and Sweden. Her work has been acquired by private collectors in New York, Los Angeles, Boston and Mexico City, and by Länskultur Gävleborg public collection in Bollnäs, Sweden. Between 2011 and 2014 he became part of Colectivo Neter.

She combines her artistic production with tattoo; her work has been developed in the fields of drawing, installation and photography, she has developed editorial projects in several magazines in Mexico, Brazil, the United States, England and China. She has also produced the artwork for several music bands albums.
